What to expect:
This
is the normal procedure for immigration DNA testing:
1. Discuss your testing requirements by phone with
a case manager and receive a customer order number.
2.
Fax or email
(with attachments) your documents and details:
These documents should include:
ü The VISA application number for each recipient.
ü
The requesting letter stating you are required to have a DNA test. (US Consulate DNA test request or blue DNA test request from USCIS.)
ü Address(es) and telephone number(s)
of individuals in foreign country to be tested.
3.
You will be
provided a quote by email or telephone.
4.
Place your
order and make arrangement to pay.
5. Once all information is obtained from you, the
laboratory will ship collection kit by FedEx/DHL to the required foreign address.
ü The international US Consulates will receive the
collection kit for processing within a few days.
ü They will then contact the parties to be tested and establish an appointment
for the DNA collection to take place.
6. The stateside DNA collection appointment will be scheduled at a time
and place convenient for you.
7. The international US Consulates will return the
collected samples in the prepaid FedEx shipping envelope (a select number of FedEx local agents in foreign countries require payment by party to be
tested).
8. Upon receipt of materials, the lab will perform
the analysis. Results will be signed and notarized by the director of the AABB accredited laboratory.
9. Testing results will then be sent directly by the lab via FedEx to USCIS or the US Consulate.
10. A copy of the results will be forwarded to your home for your review.
